Rabbit Group, a family-run business with a long-standing reputation in the Worthing community, is proud to announce the sale of its Rabbit & Dowling Plant Hire and Rabbit Toilet Hire divisions to FTH Hire Group.
Over the years, Rabbit & Dowling Plant Hire and Rabbit Toilet Hire have grown into successful operations, providing essential services to local businesses and projects.
“We’ve taken the plant hire business as far as we can and are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved,” says Greg Blurton, Group Chief Executive Officer at Rabbit Group. “It’s been a journey building a family-run, small business that has thrived and grown to become a trusted name in Worthing. However, as part of our progression planning, we believe this is a positive step forward, with FTH Hire Group now poised to take the business to new heights.”
The sale is part of Rabbit Group’s strategic focus to continue driving the growth of its core services, including skip hire and demolition. “We remain fully committed to delivering the best possible service to our skip hire and demolition customers,” adds Greg. “This transition allows us to channel our energy and resources into these areas, ensuring we maintain our leadership position in the market.”
FTH Hire Group, a well-established name in the hire industry, with 18 depots across South East England, Wales and Scotland, is excited to welcome the plant and toilet hire divisions into their portfolio. This acquisition forms part of FTH’s broader growth strategy, bringing their expertise and resources to further develop the plant and toilet hire services in Worthing and beyond.
